Erectile dysfunction medications took in Glengormley

Large quantities of unlicensed medicines have been seized by Department of Health authorities throughout a search of a house in Glengormley.

A man was interviewed by department officers about unlawfully importing and subsequently supplying unlicensed impotence medicines via the internet.

The 47 was likewise questioned about other medication offenses.

He will now be the topic of a report to the Public Prosecution Service.

The search was performed by the department's Medicines Regulatory Group.

Its senior enforcement workplace, Peter Moore, said: "It is crucial that we get the message across that unlicensed medicines can be unsafe.

"These kinds of products being offered, usually online, have actually gone through no quality control and there can be no assurance about their safety.

"You merely do not understand what you are taking or the conditions these products were made in. More notably, you do not know the result drugs like this may have on your health."
